Bayanami Public School will be non-operational for on-site teaching and learning tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July 2020. Students will undertake learning from home tomorrow.
The school’s before and after school care service (TASK) will also be non-operational tomorrow.
The Department of Education has been advised by NSW Health that a student at Bayanami Public School has tested positive for COVID-19. The school will be non-operational tomorrow for the on-site attendance of staff and students to allow time for the school to complete the contact tracing process and have the school cleaned.
While the school site is non-operational, learning materials are available through the department’s Learning from home website.
NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or has flu-like symptoms to be tested at one of the COVID-19 clinics. Additionally, close contacts of the case will be notified to undertake a 14-day self-isolation after their last contact with the case and undertake testing for COVID-19 if they develop symptoms.

- Jeffrey House Clinic at 162 Marsden St, Parramatta, NSW 2150. Open 9am- 4pm on Wednesday 29 July, Thursday 30 July and Friday 31 July.
- The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinic at Level 2, E block, Corner of Hawkesbury Rd and Darcy Rd, Westmead, NSW 2145. Open 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week.
Further advice will be provided tomorrow, advising when the school will resume on-site learning.
